Welcome to our world of motorcycles, camaraderie, and unforgettable adventures — where every ride has a story to tell.

What we love to do

Club House
Club nights

Every Wednesday at 7 PM we meet for club night at the clubhouse. It’s a relaxed evening with good turnout, great conversations, and plenty of learning along the way. Visitors are always welcome.

Camping with hammocks
Heading out together

Sweden has probably become the club’s go-to destination, although we travel far and wide in both large and small groups.

Sometimes we split into several groups — some take on winding tarmac roads, while others head for gnarly single tracks.

Making outdoor food
Pots and pans

Food is always a natural part of gathering. Whether homemade or take-away, sharing a meal together is something we do whenever we can.

Gathering around the bonfire
Meet to meet others

Our trophies bear witness to a club with a long tradition of attending meets. Back in the day, it was 100% street bikes and classic meet culture.

Over the years, that has changed. Today, most of our trips are to ADV events such as Outduro Scout in Lithuania, Skog and ADV Hangout in Sweden, or The Mud Stuck in Denmark.

Workshop
Tools and
Band-aids

Not everyone has ten thumbs — but a few of us manage just fine, and for them we keep the band-aids handy.

Helping each other is what we do best, and the workshop is often where we end up — a cornerstone of the club. No one rides alone.

Diversity in the workshop
Divided and together

The tyres make the difference — or maybe they don’t? We’ve come a long way, from a time when knobbies didn’t even exist, to a future where more and more riders are discovering the freedom of adventure riding. We do it all — from slicks on track days to heavy-duty studded tyres in deep snow.

We stick together. Riding and friendships are what bring us together.

Trackday
Track days

The filthy few ride the tracks hard, mostly in Sweden, but Southern Europe is also calling.

There’s actually a long-standing tradition of racing in the club, and a handful of members still enjoy regular days on the track.

Visiting exhibits and fairs
Getting smarter

We attend the motorcycle fairs we can. Sometimes together, sometimes on our own. We meet others, and see and hear about the latest things hitting the road. We often go home dreaming about future investments.

Ride with us …

We always have plenty going on. Our trip calendar is often full, and we ride in all directions — together and on our own, and sometimes with non-members.

We’ve been to the North Cape, Iceland, Portugal, Poland, Norway, and Sweden, as well as Morocco and the Danish west coast. And that’s how it has always been.

We ride motorcycles in the summer — and sometimes in the winter too. In the past, it was mostly road bikes and asphalt. In more recent years, our trips have mostly been on knobby tyres.

Teamwork

Our history

1985 — or maybe a little earlier — a few friends started meeting in a shed on the outskirts of Copenhagen. The exact origin is somewhat lost in the mists of time, much like the origin of our name, Kantana.

Was it actually meant to be Katana, but simply misspelled? Was the club meant to be named after the legendary Japanese sword, or Suzuki’s boldly designed motorcycle that drew so much attention in the years just before the club came to life? No one really knows — but rumors say the name was spelled that way on purpose, precisely to stand out. And so it does.

Kantana is also associated with the katana — it’s the name used for the toy version of the legendary sword, a foam sword. And perhaps that fits the club’s DNA quite well. We are not aggressive, but rather easygoing and welcoming people. People with different backgrounds who together form a strong and safe community — where there is room for more than just motorcycles.

Kantanites is who we are…

To be a Kantanit

Friends of Kantana

We meet people along the way, and some have the natural DNA to become Kantanized.

Here we present a few of our many friends. More will join. A friend of this club always has a place to stay when nearby.
